Which one new Steelfish or Blacksteel Super Avenger?

Both fine watches, but things to consider:

Your wrist size, the SA is a big unit.

The type of watch your after in terms of image, the SA is black stealth military style, the steelfish a diver that can also be quite dressy when you combine it with nice leather. The steelfish is a bit more versatile and BSSA more specialized.

I have a BSSA on order myself, cant wait to get it.

Where are you getting it from? I am after a steelfish for a mate (he last his Gen!!! Yowch!) After looking for them in the usual places, I have become interested in getting myself one (you know what it's like!). Anyway where you getting this one from? If you have it now, could you give me your opinion on it. ta

Hi! I just got the GEN Steelfish (black dial) - compared with my old rep Steelfish (blue dial), I am shocked about the quality of the rep from 4 years ago. Some minor diff on the case chape etc. but I think they really got the new rep very nicely, also with superlume. I think it is a top 5 from the current selection among "super-reps".

I also have the rep SS V3 SA (black dial batton markers). The SA is huge compared to the fish, and a lot heavier (more than 1 ounce, or about 45 metric grams). It weighs 250 grams resized, while the rep Steelfish is 204 grams. GEN fish is 217 grams resized to my size.

Also the SA is A7750, while you can have Swiss ETA on the rep fish - ETA will probably be more reliable, also, since it is a non-chrono. Since you are talking about the blacksteel, you will not have issues with the smudgemagnet polished surfaces of the standard SA, and the bling factor is not so high, but it is still a very substantial sized piece, all though not so heavy, since it is on a rubber strap. Happy decision.
