The Camping System

After recently reading a post on here regarding a Cartier, which Gunnar Gran described as effeminite, it started me thinking, a macho scale for watches.

Here are some of my ideas.

Super Macho: The Graham Chronofighter, (it's even got a macho name)

Macho: All those big Panerai 47mm jobs.

Manly: A nice Rolex sub, or Omega seamaster.

Bit Camp: Most of those designer names E.G. Chanel J12 with diamonds.

Raging Girly: One of those 5 time zone Jacobs in Yellow.

There are many many more examples I am sure you all have, I hope this is a catalyst to get something going.

We all have our own ways and I do not wish to offend anybody.

I am wearing my Rolex Sub.

Do you own a Jacob!!!??

The biggest flaw that I can see with your proposed system is that almost everything popular here is in the Manly category, with occasional forays into the Macho and Bit Camp realms. As a result it seems to me that it would tend to reduce some peoples' inclination to explore the edges, without really differentiating among our more popular choices. For example, I presume that Submariners, GSTs and Bentleys would all fall in the Many category, though the Bentley might actually be a "Bit Camp.". Heck, I might be inclined to put a watch emblazoned with 007 logos into the "Bit Camp" camp.

So, would you give us some examples of how your system would play out?

Those rappers, what a bunch they are, called Reginald Dork or something then they give themselves names like Hardman Sexgod, and wear girly jewelrey and girly watches, thats not tough.

I do have an FM Conquistador though, for my feminine side.
