om3ga_guy Posted April 9, 2012 Report Posted April 9, 2012 Now that I sold my 007 franken I've pulled enough money together to finish my next franken. This one will be a definite keeper next to my FrPO. I wont throw the details out just yet ( some of you already know what it is... ), but I am going to post some inspirational photos up................................................ Here is the shell for my project, my newly aquired FrSMP 2254.50. All I kept on this was the case (note the modded cgs and correct HE position)...I parted the rest of the watch. Inspirational photos.................... For those wondering, the dial your seeing is off a Seamaster 2230.50.00 (none Amercas Cup) More to come. My watch should be done by the end of next week (pending if my parts show up)
spooky driver Posted April 9, 2012 Report Posted April 9, 2012 Sorry where did you get the case again? Lovely looker you have there! Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk
om3ga_guy Posted April 23, 2012 Author Report Posted April 23, 2012 (edited) And the finished product: Here are the mods as it stands today: - Gen dial - Gen bezel - Gen hands - Gen crown/tube - Gen rubber strap - ETA datewheel - Mineral crystal (its flat and gen like. OK for now + looks great) - Modded CG's (by Zigmeister) - Rep Springbars - ETA 2824-2 (serviced) Edited April 23, 2012 by om3ga_guy
jeff g Posted April 24, 2012 Report Posted April 24, 2012 I own a beautiful rep of this watch. Gen hands/dial etc. My plan is to replace the movement with gen eta. I wear it with a gen rubber bracelet and gen deployment. I have owned this watch for 10 years, and still think that is a beautiful diver as was ever made. Congratulations on a beautiful piece. Wear it well.
