Robbie is the best...he was very patient as I took quite a while to decide which watch I wanted. He returned every email I sent and was extremely helpful. If you have a watch in mind he will try to find it for you. His prices are lower than most also. The packaging of the watch for shipment was bulletproof. PVD is the actual process that deposits the coating material onto the metal (Physical Vapor Deposition). It can deposit many different types of material, including gold and platinum. I had known that, but until now I thought that DLC was a different process. DLC isn't a process, but an actual type of coating. It's almost always applied using PVD as the method of depositing, and usually in several layers. DLC coatings can be either a matt finish or extremely shiny, depending on how it's applied. My son-in-law's Ducati has some custom bits on it that are DLC and are shiny and slick as snot. That's why I was thinking that all DLC was shiny.
