Dirty Movements - What's Your Experience?

I was just reading a thread about someone's experience with ETA movements being dirty. What's your experience - and which calibres were dirty? What's the impact to performance? Is it okay to leave them as they are, or must they all be serviced?

I just bought a nice ExpI, and it seems to be performing good. If it ain't broke, don't fix it; or should I take preventative measures?

Thanks.

don´t worry... eta movements are all nice... but don´t purchase a rep with used old eta movement like eta 2872 or 2879 (but now not exist many of this reps)

only asia 7750 is a FU**ING movement... forget it...also asia unitas is problematic...

cheers :3a:

Are you honestly suggesting that ETA 2836 movements never arrive dirty?

Or, the natural conclusion of this, are you suggesting that ETA movements in replicas are QCed and pre-serviced?

And also why is it I discover all the people that have had trouble with the asian 7750 movement AFTER I got the Tag Link Chrono?.... Hopefully the seconds at 9 version of the movement won't have the trouble that infamous seconds at 6 daytona version has.

And why, oh why do the dealers torment me with the IWC GST Ti Chrono when i'm so torn on the movement...
