How can i fix this? (crown/stem divorce)

Recommended Posts

What kind of watch was this from?

It's a Baume et Mercier Riviera with a A7750 chrono (the only rep i have lol)

Where is the crown? Looks like the head of the crown unscrewed from the spring load portion. Not uncommon. Depending on how the two halves assemble you may be able to put it back together.

The crown is righ there in the picture.

I think that i need to pull up the sleeve in the stem (the one that covers the little spring) and glue it back to the other half of the crown (past the threads of course).

What do you think?

Thanks in advance

Yes indeed. The crown carries a slot which prevents the stem from turning when you turn the crown. All you need to do is press the spring so that the stem clutch pops out and reglue it in to the slot of the crown.

Good luck.
