legally_blind
I recently came across this new portofino http://www.puretime.co/product/iwc-2012-06-27-05/ the website doesn't seem to offer much information, but at first sight it seems to be a pretty good rep. what do people think? FxrAndy
I have heard it is pretty good, there are a couple of reviews of it here if you look for them

cougar1
Yeah this is the newer updated one with new markers that is meant to be even better than the recent release. In what way it is better I'm not sure, some improvements to the dw alright, what is really tempting is this new one also has a lovely grey sunburst dial editiion which looks very tempting! kulaan
Whats the difference between the one linked by OP and the one available at Silix. It seems like the one offered by Silix has a gen ETA 2824-2 movement and Puretime has an A2892. Are there any other differences (i.e. - case, crown, dial, date wheel font)? Any significant disadvantages to having an A2892? Edited July 27, 2012 by kulaan
spoonfedhatch
The 2892 version is a 1:1 replica. It has an accurate case size, accurate hour markers, and very accurate hands. The black and ardoise versions also have a black datewheel now. Basically, the new 2892 version is superior to the previous version in subtle yet significant ways. cougar1
Exactly spoonfed, the 2892 is an accurate copy, the 2824 seems to be a hack job from another factory...avoid that one.
kulaan
Is there a review on the new 2892 version somewhere? Is an gen ETA2892 swap feasible? Thanks for all the help. Looking to get into my first rep.
Kutio
I hope the dial texture a color is like the gen. The pictures doesn't quite show the sun burst look
