PeteM
Hi guys Apologies in advance if I am being a thicky here but I would like to ask a couple of questions regarding the Hublot Big Bang King 48mm models from the H factory. with an A7750 movement. Now I am use to reading about the second hand issue being a bit hatchy and sometimes jumping which can be resolved generally by a watchsmith...but I have only seen the crown issue referred to but not generally discussed in detail... And as these watches commonly have an issue with the crown and stem being very 'loose' or fragile... Generally this usual occurs in the screwing in of the crown or adjusting the time etc... Can I ask 1) What causes this? 2) Is it solved by an ETA stem or crown mod? 3) Or is it only solved by the implant of a Swiss A7750? I would be interested to know the causes and solutions if thats OK please... Sorry... lastly if its solely the crown causing the issue and cannot be modded... can an alternative be sourced to resolve it?

txcollector
I bought one used and the only problem I had with the crown was cross threading. Mine was solved with a new crown/stem and a lot of care. Somehow models with the 7750 and very long stems have a tendency to have this problem. With time and apparently brute force the crown starts to give and become wobbly. You just need to be careful.

I just cant recall ever having an issue like that except on these Hublots... so if I replaced the movement for ETA it would still be an issue? Can I ask... when you say you replaced it.... do you mean with the same part from factory just a new one? Thanks again Pete
