So far as I know he did not take pictures of the process. It can be done with a relatively inexpensive standard sandblasting kit used for automobile body work. But the trick is picking the right blasting material and amount of pressure involved. It also requires a good amount of taping parts off and repolishing...not an easy task.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but not only is this a GREAT tutorial - but, it shows what happens to a bead blasted finish after some use (before photos.)
I also absolutely love that blue gen dial and case color combo! Gorgeous and nice work!! :)

 

 

I have a scratched V5 chronopassion which needs a bead blast. Anybody knows who could help me out?<br /><br />

 

What did you ever end up doing with yours? I know it was a while ago, but did you have any photos by chance? Post them here!
