PAM 199 Submersible - Vac Modded Ultimate with Swiss ETA 7750, Relume and more...........

Just picked this Vac PAM 199 Ultimate up and thought I would share a few quick BB shots from today.

I have been wanting a PAM Sub for the whole Summer. The Noob V2 243 was top of my list but always seemed to be unavailable when I was ready to buy it :rolleyes:

I then thought I would go for something special and different. My problem is that I just love the old custom built pieces so much, so this seemed a natural candidate to join my Custom 010D, 005K and Pre A 02, which are all unique in their own way B)

I am very pleased with the watch - build spec is as follows;

Ultimate 199 from Angus - sent to Vac

Relume in 3 shades to match the Gen - slight green to 12, 6 and pearl + nice creamy Trit to indices and whiter shade of Trit to hands

Install Swiss ETA 7750, polish and set CP - the rotor noise (or lack of!) and winding action is so sweet and different to the A7750 - smooth as you like

Install upgraded T crown, L DWO and tighten CG lever (I believe it is the original Ultimate CG?)

Grease and seal to 5ATM

On a Di Stefano Simona Bruno mustard and Pig buckle from H 18

I need to shave and adjust the CG lever to sit inside the CG....

Cool watch!!

Too bad cuz I really like the 243 as well

I know what you mean. The 243 is based on the 1950's case set, which is also a consideration, as this 199 uses a basic Luminor case set.

OOB the 243 is a better replication and also much better bang for buck - as no mods are really needed.

The Swiss ETA upgrade is not necessary, but I just fancied trying one!

Hi Nixx - I can see why - that is a beauty - whats the build on it? I see the lume is patina'd!

I have an Orloff calf inbound that might look as good and a gen heavy croc that I will now try out - thanks.

That Orloff strap looks AMAZING! But that's not an Orloff buckle is it?
