Click spring woes

So the click spring on my TC M series is getting a bit weak, and was a tad bit bent, so I ordered a new one from clark's along with the spacer ring. When I put it on it was definitely tighter, but it would not engage the bezel at least half of the turn. I could rotate (with resistance) half way, and then it would get much easier and also allow me to rotate it both ways... I was interested to see if anyone else had experienced anything like this, and if they had a possible solution....

Only thing that I can offer you is to grab a pair of pliers and bend the spring slightly to create a slightly smaller angle where it touches the bezel. It's confusing but in essence just fiddle with it, trial and error. I had that same issue once and I did just that, used a pair of pliers and played with the angle of the bend until it worked properly. You can do it.

i took cc33's advice and bent the clicker spring, it took a few tries to get it to the sweet spot, but it feels pretty stout now. It clicks nicely, and is tight as a gen just back from service. I have a gen insert coming this week, and am keeping my fingers crossed that it will snap in, and I won't have to do anything to it, so I figured it should have a new spring to go with it's freshening up... Thanks for all the good advice guys!!
