MADRED7 Posted November 5, 2012 Report Share Posted November 5, 2012 Bead-blasting will get the PVD off but will also change the surface (brushed and polished) of the watch whereas chemical removing won´t touch the existing finish. It would be more easy to approach one of our trusted dealers and ask them to source an EoD case BEFORE the PVD will be processed! Dr. Theo P.S.: Maybe Angus will be able?! beano2004 Posted December 2, 2012 Report Share Posted December 2, 2012 I have done this mod and bead blasting does not remove all of the pvd. I can also tell you the pvd hardens the case so when drilling the new crown tube one will need a special drill.
