To the best of my knowladge, the 16800, or at least some of the production, had rounded 3's. Someone check me if i'm wrong.

I think you're right there. I can't decase the old movement to check the datewheel as the current no-date dial is superglued in place. I'm sure that it has the correct shape 3s for the 16800, for some reason I thought it was flats rather than curved
