If you declare a high value for customs, yes it will be taxed

If you declare $25 or so then no

It will not be taxed, risk you run is if they inspect it and decide you under declared to hide actual value

You can't insure for more than you declare for customs value

You have to fill out a customs form listing value and contents

Many shipping options don't permit insurance on international shipments from us anyway

Also many don't provide tracking even for extra $$$

Best way IMO is air mail registered with low customs value and no insurance but that is your call depending on your and the recipients risk level

Air mail registered would cost roughly $18 for a small box or padded envelope and would provide full tracking

This service is not offered online, at PO location only
