177h Oxycleaned And W/davidsen Sapphire Crystal

Put it in a pan w/ oxyclean detergent on low heat for 30 minutes, make it look darker and aged. I also did it on a 192 I had a while back. I recommend removing the movement and crystal before immersion.

That looks awesome!! Ti looks really good as it is, but darker and unevenly discolored would be even cooler IMO. Wear it well!

Can oxyclean be used on stainless steel to darken it as well? I have a ss pam bracelet coming soon and I want it darker to match titanium.

Thanks :) BTW, it only works on Ti, not SS.

Damn :( I guess that's why they call it stainless steel

Does anyone know if there's a way to darken SS besides PVD? Don't want it that dark.

Yes, I found a kit that promised to turn SS to dark grey. Too bad I have its address on a computer that is currently undergoing major fixing. I should be able to retrieve it in a few days.

Found. Here is the link:

Look near bottom of the page, where they speak of the "Stainless Steel Blackener 370"
