oXdanXo
I've been reading Edge's guide on how to take a watch apart, but I'm not sure what I need to do to fix it. The watch seems to gain about 15 minutes every hour. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

oXdanXo
No idea what movement, it cost £35 about 4 years ago, nothing in the way of experience I just started learning about it today since I'd rather fix the replica than start wearing the Genuine one since I'm always worried sick that I'll damage it when it's on my arm Thanks for the advice, I'll try to read up on de-magnetising. kbh
Get a magnifier and look closely at the hairspring. You may find it tangled over itself and very gently untangle. Sometimes a good whack into your palm a couple times will untangle it if that's the problem.
oXdanXo
Thanks, will do once I get the damn thing open, I've got the bracelet off, but Edge's guide clearly "lies" about taking the back off, it's hard work, I can't get the thing to budge. oXdanXo
Try using some duct tape, ball it up and twist off the back. Is there any youtube videos of someone doing this? I'm applying all the pressure I can and twisting (Anticlockwise) but it's too stubborn. I think I've got nowhere so I'm going to try again tomorrow. oXdanXo
I inadvertently fixed it by smashing it one Still dissapointed I didn't end up taking it apart since I would have liked to see the inside, I think I couldn't do it as I was using the wrong kind of ball.
