Rolexman
Some time ago I sold my precious 312L to a dear friend of mine. Today he calls me and tells me he has a rather large scratch on the crystal.... I was like: 'R U sure?'.... 'It's saphire'! Then he sends me some pics. How on earth did he manage this? https://www.dropbox.com/sh/295k582s6ouh4pp/1TSRXsI5It I'm thinking of buying this: http://watchbitz.com.au/shop/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=39 Don't know if the scratch is to deep though. Rolexman
Bet you anything it's mineral glass. That's a nasty scratch for sapphire. Thanks for the input. I would say the same if I did not bought this watch myself. Maybe there is a quality difference between sapphires? This is the version I bought: http://www.puretime.co/product/pam312-l-best-edition/ Or did they lie to us..... Again
Ephry73
If you wear it to sleep an happened to have any diamonds laying around that would be how. That is a deep scratch. I have polished scratches out of sapphire before but it is a pain in the butt
Rolexman
Thanks for the input guys. I never bothered to check the crystal with a diamond tester. That will be the first thing I will do when he brings it by.... Let s see if I can order a spare.
