What's a good price for a 6263 service hand set ?

Well it turned out the gen hand set for my 6263 is for a 6239. Lucky break of sorts, but now I am on the hunt for a 6263 service hand set. Got an offer for Eur 500 which sounds a little rich for my taste. Other option would be a Phong hand set I still have in my parts box, but with most other visible parts gen I am not sure I want to go rep here.

 

Any advice is appreciated.

I believe the 6239/41 and first (i.e. '70/'71) 626x had a wider/shorter chrono second triangle. So for a '80 6263 the 6239 chrono second would look out of place.

Dropbear is right, but there is more than 1 change between the early and later Daytona's. Don't forget about the thin seconds hand, for example. I don't talk about the 6238, who have more specific hands (2 thin hands instead of 1)

BTW, depending of the period, I think there is some different kind of 6263/5 hands. How many ? I don't know.

 

Here is an example, full metal chrono seconds hand. 100% original, no doubts about it. Probably for early 6263/5 :

 

 

 

I think I have bought too many handsets... :)

 

About the price of a service handset, 500€ looks a fair value. These are hard to find !

Thanks Valty. I was able to press the price a bit more and they are on the way now. I thought having such a nice 6239 chrono hand and not using it would be a waste - so I contacted Minh for a 2 color PN dial. Will see how this works out...
