cc33
Hey guys, I'm making a 4 line 6538 dial with my new dial maker and he mentioned that he has a couple of dials for sale. One is a double red and one is a red sub. I don't know if they look good or not because I have no idea what they should look like. Anyhow 750£ each, I know I know, it's a lot of money. They are made using original plates. Just an offer..
freddy333
The Sub dial is pretty good (though I would relume it), but I do not like the crown or fonts on the SD dial.

wiesn089
That meters first sub is amazing!
cc33
I don't know why they cost so much aside from the plate used.. The 6538 dial that he's making for me is 875£ but that's a gilt dial with a difficult process.

I agree that the sd crown looks funny, maybe that was a variation?
cc33
So I checked up on these dial variations and from what I can see the red sub is a mark 2 and the drsd is a mark 4, the coronet looks about right for a mark 4.
torresp
WOW! Both are incredible dials, the double red is scary close to the gen MkIV! The 1680 is a pity because it has a mk1 crown with mk2 text and the word "submariner" in a mk2 must be printed in red over white (the mk1 was printed only in red) Seem he has the skills to make a 1:1 can't wait your 6538

That is a shame!
