devilseam Posted March 7, 2013 Report Share Posted March 7, 2013 I'm about to send my superlumed SD off for a service and have a gen crown and insert plus tc's 16600 dial and hands fitted. Whilst its there I thought about replacing the crystal, I have read that some people have struggled to fit a gen crystal but I wondered if anyone had fitted an aftermarket gen spec crystal such as a clarks or sternkreuz that is better quality than the rep crystal? I can't even see the LEC on mine without a magnifier, but I've only got 20/40 vision. But I can see the ugly bevel cut on the outer edge of the "ultimate" crystal in every picture I look at.
