billyfras
Hi all, I got my QC pics for my first rep today and the timegrapher, the results show a rate of +013 s/d. From reading the Timegrapher Reading tutorial, I know a rate of up to +/- 12 seconds is acceptable. So should I just go ahead and give the OK for this watch to be shipped, or is this grave enough for me to raise my concern with the dealer? With my limited experience, thinking about a watch gaining as much as 13 seconds every day seems a bit much, but maybe you guys can enlighten me some more. Thanks. freddy333
Depends on what constitutes 'acceptable'? Is 12 +/- acceptable for the gen maker? Is 12 +/- acceptable to you?
Noel Fleischer
That's not bad- these are reps. Good chance that it may settle in after a few weeks. Remember COSC is about -/+ 6 sec/day.
billyfras
I guess my question to the members is would YOU accept a rep with a gain of 13secs/day? Noel, thanks for that.
billyfras
Thanks MD2020. The amplitude reading was 277 so I was happy with that. I'm glad to hear that you place more weight on that than the gain. I guess I'll go ahead and give the OK for shipment. Thanks to all of you for your input. Pardon a first time rep buyer for being overly cautious.

bamcky2k
genuine seiko automatics have a manufacturers spec of +/- 30seconds per day...longines i believe has a spec of +/- 12 on their non cosc movements...so your good to go! id rather have a movement gaining than losing, and you can also try different resting positions over night to slow it/speed it etc. good luck with your purchase
