Watchmeister
You would buy the LWO 283 as part of a donor watch ($500 and up). Tag Heuer and Concord amongst others made watches with that movement. You will need a gen dial for sure. And you will also need a modder to work on the case (bezel, mid case and case-back. It will also require a custom movement ring. That work is typically $800+ in and of itself. So just to get the project off the ground you will need $500 (rep) + $800 (work) + donor watch ($500+) + dial ($1200+).

faberjay111
Thanks for the information! What models of Tag and Concord use the LWO movement? Also, any ideas where we can find a gen dial?

Watchmeister
Thanks for the information! What models of Tag and Concord use the LWO movement? Also, any ideas where we can find a gen dial? Concord Ventu, Tag Heuer Chrono Professional 2000 (or something like that). Be careful on the TAG's as they have made subsequent models with a different dial. Look for the depth of datewheel to guide you. The chrono module on top of a base movement rather than a straight line 7750 really makes a difference. edgematic1
There is also the Baume & Mercier Transatlantic Chrono and Longines as well, but I can't remember the model...
