1)correct date window shape

I believe that the trapezoidal shape of the gen date window is so subtle that it is totally irrelevant. Here's a pic of a gen. You can hardly see the trapezoid blown up like this. At normal size on the wrist, forget it.

I can't see any rep maker taking the time to cut a trapezoid or whatever shape the OEM uses on the window either.

I think I remember someone saying they did do the Silix transplant, and someone obviously has done an OEM transplant. I wish they would post pics...

that was me. I think I was the first to do this.

the watch is perfect now. I love it. No pics right now, sorry!

Any idea how to get the cross off the dial intact? It is kind of fixed by glue on the legs on the back of the dial.

Yea, you gently pry up on the legs and snip them off. Once you have the cross extracted, flatten it back out and glue it directly to the new dial.
