david.the.marvelous
Some time after I got a Skyland Avenger V2 rep one end of the pin that holds my clasp together broke off and I've been stuck with it since. I'm not using the bracelet as of current, but I am interested in getting the bracelet restored to "like new". I think that this will require a good re-polish job as well as fixing the damn clasp! I have attached some pictures below so you can see the problem for yourselves. Do you guys have any suggestions for how I should go about getting this broken clasp resolved? Thank you. I would put this in the repair forum, but I'm not a platinum member
david.the.marvelous
Anyone have any ideas as to how I can clean this bracelet up? If not, I'll probably sell it ;P
fraggle42
Cape Cod should clean it up.As to fixing it, you can probably find a piece of steel rod the right diameter and length and mushroom the ends over yourself and then polish them with a Dremel.Or rather mushroom one end, polish that end, assemble and mushroom the other end. I wouldn't try to polish the other end with the bracelet assembled as you'll polish the gold off the other parts. That's how I'd do it with my non watch DIY experience, I'll let others tell you how to do it properly Richard

ocram
As for restoring: use some autosol polishing paste and a dremel. I have a felt-wheel for it.If needed, some after-polishing with cape-cod will bring that mirror shine finish back. But not mistake it with polish your after Andwith the clasp: every jeweller should be able to fix it
david.the.marvelous
Andy, thank you! If I don't decide to get a Dremel, I'll probably just end up taking it to somewhere local to have it done. Unless someone can recommend someone on this board, then I would gladly work with them if they do good work.
