My First Rep: Opinions Welcomed! (QC Pics SOSF)

Hello All!  I wanted to briefly introduce myself.  I am new to the forums and just purchased my first rep.  I haven't posted much, my best friend has been the "Search" function on the forum.  I am new to the watch modding hobby but not new to modding.  My previous hobby was modifying cars.  I just sold my 2008 BMW 335i completely built out (suspension, brakes, tune, etc).  Fun car... expensive hobby.  I have decided to get into a slightly less expensive hobby (I could be wrong! ha).

Anyways, I just ordered my first rep (and working on my second purchase through BK).  A Breitling SOFS.  I have a few QC pics below and would greatly appreciate another set of eyes.  I personally noticed a few things but wanted to share and see if these are "normal" rep issues or something worth working with the TD.

1. In the picture on top of the shipping form.  I noticed a gap from the case to bracelet (SEL).  The bottom left.

2. I noticed the 10:00 PM lume marker is oddly shaped.  Maybe thats the light reflection.

3. The stamp on the clasp does not look well defined

How does the rest of watch look?  Again, thanks for any feedback.

This is just my opinion, but it's very hard to notice any gap on the SEL...most etchings on the back of Breits are not very deep like the gens, but no one will notice that anyway, unless you take it off to show someone...and the lume marker at 10 is just reflecting differently in the light...I would say you have a superb rep there.  ;)

watchguyoh I appreciate the feedback. I think the only thing I am going to mention the the TD is the clasp imprint and maybe a shot with the clasp closed. Not sure if they take picture request, worth a shot. I may end up replacing the clasp anyways, if thats even possible.

Thanks again!

The amplitude is a little high...I think you want less than 270. There's a thread in the main forum that says what the amplitude does but I think the dude that wrote it recommended you get watches with an amplitude thats less than 270...

I just accepted a V2 wolf that had an amplitude of 318 and if I knew that you want less than 270, I probably would have asked for a different one. Other then that though, everything looks good to me.

I wouldn't worry about the amplitude...Most people say that the higher reading is actually ok...better to be high than low.  I received my SA, and it had a reading of 324, it runs great.  Most of those readings are taken after a full wind is done, and will probably settle down after a few minutes...

This topic helped me a lot:

Don't worry about the 10 marker, the light makes it looks different ;)

I agree with Watchguyoh on this part :)

My TD just responded and said that anything below 300 will result in a poor power reserve. Based on what I've been reading is that new mechanical systems produce high amplitudes and after a few minutes of use they normalize. From the watch analysis I can see the linear line isn't very long; short test. Any thoughts?

I've also reached out to another dealer and requested a service quote for this piece. If I perform a service any testing presented by the TD is null, correct? I am assuming they correct any issues with the mechanics.

@fitmic I am not sure, if it is I can barely tell.

Thank you all for your feedback.  My TD responded to my concerns and has provided additional pictures around my areas of question.  The watch meets my expectation of what a rep watch should be.  I just accepted the QC picture.  Very excited to receive my first rep!

Oh yeah i can't wait to get that watch in my wrist...  But in the meantime I'll have another watch to distract me. I am also expecting to receive a BK YM (gen crown and aftermarket tube) to arrive.  Seeing as thats shipping within the CONUS I should see that watch arrive much sooner.  I am sure I will be distracted with that until my SOSF arrives.  And the addiction begins... Ha
