My old ladies...

A little more then three months ago I just had been the average rep noob...
I knew a lot about gens and I thought I knew a lot about reps...well...at my first day here I realized that I had no clue what you guys are talking about...Noob wasn't a factory for me, MBK, JMB, TC, Vac, MD2020, you name it...could have been some sort of drugs and they are...sort of ;)

I also wasn't aware that so many gen guys are in reps too. In the gen boards I was hanging around talking about reps was/is strictly forbidden...their common sense is...Rep wearer are looser...well...from my own experience...I aint a looser and talking about you guys I would say that you are nearer to be winners then the average gen guy is ;)
Like Forest said..."Stupid is as stupid does"... ;)
I can't see anything stupid here :D

But...what I'm trying to say is...as the average gen guy I was always drooling after some nice RLX but once I bought'em I felt sooooo bad for spending so much money...I sold'em!

But I was always trying to find something similar and spent way to much money for countless gens that didn't really get to me (see...Forest was right :D ).
I lurked at reps but fortunately wasn't brave enough to send my money to one of those bling bling shops with gen pics talking about 100% gen like reps.

I can't remember why I got here but lucky me it happened :)

And today I can say I have the watches I always wanted...my old ladies down here...

Most of them are franken (the 5514 isn't yet) at least with a gen crystal.
I would say the 5513 is the only one which doesn't need any upgrade...I love her like she is now.
The 1680 needs to get a new movement (gen 2846 already bought), new hands (TC 16610 hands are on its way) and a new dial (whoopy, ingod, yuki...not sure yet).
The 1665 is almost finished but needs a new dial (whoopy, ingod, yuki...not sure yet) and the hands have to be relumed.
The 1675 (will write an introduction shortly) is waiting for her new gen inlay and the bezel needs some love since it isn't moving but other than that it's perfect :)
The 5514 needs to have a new dial (whoopy, ordered) and a new inlay (clark inlay is on its way) which I'm going to burn again to get it brown :)

And now...let's get to the pics...I tried to give'em a vintage style...enjoy ;)

Thanks Deckard :)

To be honest...I wasn't a vintage RLX guy...I always wanted to have the "new" stuff like 116710, 116610, 216570, 116600...but the first vintage I bought (5513 from dutchguy2) injected its vintage bug and I was lost ;)

Great collection. I have a feeling you have a soft spot for vintaqge rolex's? Ha, I'll eventually have to build me one.

Yepp...the RLX vintage bug is doing hard work ;)

If you are able to build one yourself then go for it...lovely pieces they are :D

Sent from my wooden drums using Tupperware
