rolojack
A little update on that watch : I had the mid case welded on all the pusher side to totally modify the shape and make it 100% accurate against gen. Narrow and deep pusher entry as per the first series of 6238. So far, I haven't seen reps with that feature. If you file down a DW case to make it tonneau shaped, you'll end up with no pusher sittings.... I'll post pics once the watch is ready !!!
rolojack
Some pics of the works on going..... The case upper part is totally returned to fit perfectly DW rehaut. Narrowing the step was not enough : the step also had to be lowered. The pushers sittings were welded, but to preserve the 2mm inner hole, an aluminum wire was placed as SS won't stick to it as aluminum melts at a much higher temperature..... So, no wrongly axed redrilling to fear here ! Next step is drilling the sittings for the pushers at the correct dia and depth.....
lhooq
Very nice progress! Are the guts of the OP watch going into this case, or have you sourced a new dial?
rolojack
Very nice progress! Are the guts of the OP watch going into this case, or have you sourced a new dial? Dial remains the same, it's the best black 6238 dial I have ever seen, despite the lower subdial position.... I am focusing on the mid case only here.
