Glasshute circa 1900 movement

It might be a phase or am i one of only a few that thinks these older, circa 1900 movements from pocket watch era are simply amazing?

I have a new wristwatch case being made for this to be housed in and with Rose Gold Hands and winder and display caseback think they make an amazing watch that is simply quite unique and at the cost of a decent rep a worthwhile addition to a collection.

I have one for sale on the forum under gen watches which received some great comments yesterday.

Regards

AJ

I'm with you on this. I think these older movements look magnificent. Coupled with those ornate and delicate hands you end up with a very unique and desirable time piece (imo).

So this one has an amazing movement being an early 20th Century chronograph and quarter repeater, thsi is having a rose gold case made to match its NOS Rose Gold Hands, Crown and Repeater button.

I thought that when I bought her and even more so when she was in my hands! She was just over $600 before servicing etc but when finished in the new case and so on will look incredible! I will post photos when she is completed.

I thought and hoped you'd like this one.

The last one i have being rebuilt and cased is a really unusual watch in as much that it has a chrono front and the rear it has a porcelain dial with two more hands for day and date of the month. It is being fully rebuilt along with re porcelain ed dials front and rear, pictures will follow!
