scotty Posted September 7, 2013 Report Posted September 7, 2013 Hi all. My v2 top gun strap is cracking round the hole i use and I'm seeing the top layer looks like plastic. Been googling but anyone have a recommendation of where to get a good replacement? Could be kevlar, nylon or sail cloth. Cheers.
TmeShare Posted September 8, 2013 Report Posted September 8, 2013 (edited) There are a few of the black nylon with an IWC look on ebay. TimeShare Edited September 8, 2013 by TmeShare
robbie888 Posted September 9, 2013 Report Posted September 9, 2013 I have the Rios 1931 Albatros for my TG double chrono, measures as the original, only a bit too shiny. The best i have found so far. I found the strap from The Watch Boys not so good, good solid "kevlar" but too thin at the sides.
Nigga Posted September 9, 2013 Report Posted September 9, 2013 There's a seller on eBay that peddles straps for Parnis IWC homage watches, they should fit your Top Gun perfectly. No idea about quality though. http://www.ebay.com/itm/22mm-black-fabric-Leather-Strap-Band-PILOT-fit-parnis-I-W-C-top-gun-series-044-/321033712420?pt=US_Watch_Bands&hash=item4abf19b324 http://www.ebay.com/itm/22mm-black-fabric-Leather-Strap-Band-PILOT-fit-parnis-I-W-C-top-gun-series-051-/221200550543?pt=US_Watch_Bands&hash=item3380948a8f http://www.ebay.com/itm/22mm-black-fabric-Leather-deployment-buckle-Strap-fit-parnis-mens-watch-TT-044-/320985745138?pt=US_Watch_Bands&hash=item4abc3dc6f2
scotty Posted September 10, 2013 Author Report Posted September 10, 2013 Thanks gents. Checking the options!
esco Posted September 10, 2013 Report Posted September 10, 2013 Hadley Roma straps are another great alternative, they typically run around $25+ and are very well made.
scotty Posted September 11, 2013 Author Report Posted September 11, 2013 Many thanks. Does Hadley have a website?
esco Posted September 13, 2013 Report Posted September 13, 2013 Here you go! http://www.hadleyroma.com/2013HRCatalog.pdf I personally like the MS851(leather) and MS850 (cordura). Could probably squish the 22mm into the 3789 since it has 21mm lugs. 1
