fredfree
To make a long story short I sold a rep 1665 tofund a gen purchase and while I m o viously very happy with the gen I' m missing the vintagr 1665 which remains my grail.I just purchased a PT 1665 that I will send RA for mods, meanwhile since I had an MBk case sitting around collecting dust I introduced myself to the marvelous world of case modding, AKA grinding and sanding. As a reference I took a gen 1665 pic and my gen 16600,Let me say that I ve the submariner history and each watch seems to have its own CG shape, not sure if due only to polishing or even different shapes among different editions.I will let the experts judge. freddy333
Looks good from what I can see in your pics. Keep in mind that nearly all 1665s have been polished/serviced multiple times over the years, so there is no standard for CG shapes. As long as yours do not look either new or like they were shaped by hand (no straight angles or tool marks ), they should be fine.
