jerkstore
Hi, I'm looking for one (or more) of those little round, brass springs that space the dial away from the GMT gear. Any idea where I can find one suitable for a 2836-2? Do the supply houses carry these? Thanks for your help!

tr573
No problem Btw - they are actually to put pressure on the gear driving the 24 HR hand, rather than space them. It's not under the plate like the others, so if it's not pressed down it rides up and stops making contact with the calendar gear that's driving it. So it's supposed to put gentle pressure on that gear and hold it in place, using the dial as the source of pressure. So you want a slight bend in the washer to make sure it's contacting the dial and 24hr hand gear at the same time when the dial is on. But not so much pressure that it stops it from turning smoothly - takes a little experimentation Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
