AM_
Hey guys I recently recieved my TC sub V5 and I'm really happy about it. It's such a nice watch. After I put it on a NATO though, I noticed there is a rattle from inside the watch when shaken. It sounds like something is loose inthere. Normal or can I fix it? dbane883
Sounds like one of the retaining ring screws is loose. If so its a very simple fix. Open up the Caseback and check. If you don't have a case opener, use a ball of ductape. Sticky side out.
SSTEEL
You sure its not the rotor you hear?
AM_
I can't tell, I am a massive noob. like, when I quickly turn my hand from side to side it sounds like theres a little ball inthere that hits something and bounces up and down for a few secs. I dont have any ducttape, but I'll get something and take a look. Will probably post picture of my findings since I have no clue what I'm looking for inthere. dbane883
Oh. That's just the rotor. Perfectly normal to hear that.
AM_
I see. It didn't annoy me anyway, can only hear it if I flip it from side to side close to my ear I will look inside anyway with the ducttape ball because it's exciting. Thank you, Sirs. freddy333
If the watch is important to you, I would take it directly to a local watchmaker & have him check it for you. It could be a loose rotor, but it sounds more like you have a screw loose (I mean your the watch, not you personally), which is a common with reps & can lead to very serious problems if it lodges inside the movement. aeromatic
A simple check is if you shake the watch face up from side to side you should hear the rotor a sort of scraping sound , but if you shake the watch face up up and down and hear a sound like something is loose then it could be your rotor has come undone just needs refitting with is screw ,
