Redial Vs Relume

Sorry for the noobish question, but can anyone tell me what the difference is between redial and dial relume?

Is it the same thing? There is a US based relume service provider that says that they will not take anymore orders for redials, but for relumes they will continue to schedule.

I always thought it was the difference between sticking a new dial on an existing movement, as opposed to simply reluming the existing dial.

re-dialing may mean that they will refurbish your old dial - say for example, your dial is old and aged badly - they will retouch it to look like it use to.

re-luming just mean luming the indices/hands/etc only

a redial is a repaint/reprint onto the original dial to restore the original look before the aging process caused fading, damage or whatever.

a relume is simply re-applying lume to the original dial to replace the worn material presently in place.

one is intensive and more time consuming than the other though neither are simple to produce well
