netniet
I stumbled upon this gen Rolex 16800 MK I dail, and I was thinking of replacing my current gen 16800 dial with another one. Should I go for this one if I want a earlier version Franken 16800? Asking price is around $900.

F.Castro
Cc33, how did you do that with the pic?
cc33
Played with the contrast and exposure after inverting the colours, all in the photoshop app on my iphone. I noticed the marks but to really see them well I find it helps to do this
F.Castro
After you posted your pic that pointed out the scratches, now when you look close at op's pic you can actuly see the scratches he should thank you, you saved him some money
netniet
Thanks guys, indeed the dial doesn't look perfect in this close-up. But I am still wondering how it will look inside a case. For a vintage watch it doesn't have to be perfect.
F.Castro
No, it dosent need to be perfect, i have a few vintage dials that are not perfect, thats the charm. But when you first saw this dial you tought it was good/perfect now you know it has scratches, how do you think you will feel after a few days with that dial installed and when you see the scratches in some angles/lights they will eat you from the inside out, belive me. You have a chanse to pass on this one, i think you should take it.

6now
I would still take it. Not that common anymore. But definitely not with that price.
