borz Posted January 26, 2014 Report Posted January 26, 2014 Looking at the rep accessory section, it seems like lots of rep accessories, especially shoes and jackets, are priced higher than some of their genuine counterparts without a fancy label (Johnston & Murphy, Ecco, Columbia, North Face, etc.) While we can certainly see what the items look like from a picture, it's impossible to see how well they are made. Why don't the dealers destroy a few of the items they're selling and take detailed photos so buyers can see what's on the inside? Saw that $150 Prada dress shoe in half so we can see the internal construction and make sure it's good quality leather and not glued cardboard, cut those Canada Goose jackets open so we know they're not stuffed with dirty chicken feathers, etc. It won't break the bank for the dealers, and prospective buyers are much more likely to order knowing they're getting a quality item, not some Luckytiger8888 junk with a fancy label on it. 1
genesis1 Posted February 26, 2015 Report Posted February 26, 2015 why dont you purchase some and tear them apart for us?
Beginningatdawn Posted March 13, 2015 Report Posted March 13, 2015 why dont you purchase some and tear them apart for us? Because the cost isn't to be shifted onto the buyer for the benefit of dealers to get perspective buyers. In business, it is the owner's responsibility to ensure customers are getting quality goods, not one customer assuring others that the goods sold by said company are quality.
