skillz369 Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 Hey, I ordered a submariner from Trusty Time, and it will not wind. It just either changes the time or date. There is no way to wind it just tightens the crown. What can I try to fix it before I have to send it back and wait for the turnaround? Please help guys
SSTEEL Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 (edited) With the crown unscrewed, push the crown inwards to ensure winding mode is set, you should feel the crown spring back, then turn the crown clockwise without pushing it in. If it starts to strew down the crown, your stem maybe too short, or the crown is screwed onto the stem too much. Edited January 31, 2014 by SSTEEL

So I don't have any option but to send it back? should be an auto anyway...no? yes it is auto, but I need to wind it to let it keep charge otherwise it just stops after a few hours of leaving it alone.
dr_rolex Posted March 7, 2014 Report Posted March 7, 2014 I have not seen anyone hurting the movement by manual winding But recently saw few watch makers talking it does reduce the life of a movement can it be true !!! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
