maxse Posted December 6, 2006 Report Posted December 6, 2006 Okay everyone need some help. Most of the threads I found were old and River doesnt carry this anymore. I need the most accurate one with diamonds and black bezel. It has to be the correct amount of diamonds ( As far as I understand there are some versions that have incorrect clasp # of diamonds etcc I need the correct one). Also how good are the diamonds on this thing? People have been saying in the past they are not as shiny except the ones from River say they are good? Is it possible to get these diamonds in Cubic Zirconia, or perhaps someone can do it as a mod? Any suggestions 2 rows of diamonds or one? I need it as accurate as possible, thanks again everyone.
thedoctor Posted December 6, 2006 Report Posted December 6, 2006 River has the best PP24. I got one for my wife. The diamonds looked almost as good as a real one I've seen. That's too bad if he doesn't carry it anymore. I got one from King initially. It's really small. I don't know if there are different sized ones, but hers isn't that good.
maxse Posted December 6, 2006 Author Report Posted December 6, 2006 Yea River is gone. What is really small from King? the diamonds or the watch? or are you sayinng the watch in general is very small? Still looking for help on who has the best one.
dluddy Posted December 6, 2006 Report Posted December 6, 2006 River had the best and sadly, his does not appear to be in production any longer. My wife lost hers and I just got her a replacement from Joshua. Not as nice as Rivers, and yes, it does seem that the case is smaller and the bracelet not as well made, but it is currently the best available IMO.
addingwatch Posted December 6, 2006 Report Posted December 6, 2006 River's version was far better. The gray dial color one was perfect. Regards.
maxse Posted December 6, 2006 Author Report Posted December 6, 2006 (edited) oh man this is not good news for me Any1 know how accurate this is? The pics are with the gray dial but I will be getting one in black. Thanks Edited December 6, 2006 by maxse
dluddy Posted December 6, 2006 Report Posted December 6, 2006 Looks like the same one Joshua sells. I got my wife the Black dial. It is pretty accurate, just not as solidly built as the best one River had. Still, it is her daily beater and holding up well.
maxse Posted December 6, 2006 Author Report Posted December 6, 2006 wow this sucks because this is going to be my moms dress watch. Let me ask you guys. The seller says that the diamonds are CZ so they should be pretty shiny. Is there really no dealer that can have the same source as river? Any1 have a pic of Rivers to compare? Also what is not accurate about this watch I posted? Will people be able to call her out on it?
Quarks Posted December 6, 2006 Report Posted December 6, 2006 River has the best one. I saw a bunch of River's PP24 (exactly the same) one at Bangkok's MBK. They are at the first floor at one of the small counter-based shops. If anyone is heading there, u might wanna check them out.... or put in a request from Neil (TTK)?
maxse Posted December 6, 2006 Author Report Posted December 6, 2006 right, but what do I even request for? How does he or I tell them apart?
mraceman Posted December 16, 2006 Report Posted December 16, 2006 (edited) So the consesus is that River's PP24 > other, however it's no longer available. I'd love to get one as a gift for my mother-in-law. She works in a snooty salon and I think it'd be sweet for some of her rich SUV-driving soccer-mom customers to see her wearing a $20k watch If there is a source to locate these higher quality reps through a request to Neil, I would interested in adding 1 black faced model to that request. maxse Posted December 26, 2006 Author Report Posted December 26, 2006 guys comon help me out here. Any1 know the best place tro get one of these? Can someone at least post a pic of Rover's 24 so that I can see the differences and know what to ask for when I ask other dealers about it please.
