Fracture
I was wondering if the antimagnetic properties of reps are on the level of gens? Reason why I am asking is that I have to wear an identification badge on my upper clothing for work. I've chosen to attach it with neodymium magnets since it's fast, clean and easy. My watch head has never touched the badge and I'm sure it never will, but it often does come close (with my wrist in between). Is this something to be worried about? Can it affect my watches in time? Nightwatch
Hi J3 think they are less antimagnetic than waterproof:) Even gens need a 2nd plate inside on the back. If it starts running faster it´s magnetized. Pls. post Your experience.
Nightwatch
This had me interested so thx after all it´s no big deal once 35 usd apparatus shipped to fix all watches (indian model): to test if it´s magnetized You may put it near a compass - if magnetized the needle moves slightly (or a lot:) http://www.pmwf.com/Watches/WATCHSALES04/WATCHACCESSORIES4/DemagnetizerSalesTable.htm http://www.pmwf.com/Watches/WATCHSALES04/WATCHACCESSORIES4/ANCHORDemagnetizerIndia/ANCHORDemagnetizerIndiaMade.htm
Fracture
Thanks for the link, it's indeed an easy fix in case it does get magnetised. The swiss model is only 10$ more. Think I'll get one of those, don't want my watches to catch fire
FxrAndy
I tested a PO when they first came out and it did have some protection, using strong magnets I could stop other watches gen and rep but I could not stop the planet ocean
