Jaethomp
I'm no expert on Rolex so I wanted to get your opinions/verification on this Gen Dial I picked up on the bay. I'm slowly starting to source parts for a possible Franken build in the near future. How does it look to you? dbane883
I don't believe that is a gen dial.
Jaethomp
What gives ? I had some doubts, not many which is why I wanted others opinion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
dbane883
First of all, it's not 666 dial. The crown is consistent with a MK2 16600 glossy luminova dial. Small oval. Swiss made had the 30 minute marker at the same height as the top of the letters. Yours is too short. Fonts are off. "Sea-dweller" is f-ed up. The "f" in "ft" should over lap the top of the "t" The 4 lines are too high. "Officially certified" should be closer to the lume marker. And perhaps the most telling: "Sea-Dweller" is wider than "4000 ft=1220 m" Please show me a gen 16660 or 16600 where that is the case. But I'm no expert either. dbane883
The list is longer. Date window, "R" in Rolex is off. You should get a refund.
Jaethomp
I appreciate your feedback!! It has not shipped yet. Just emailed the seller. Waiting on reply. If I'm beat, I'll chalk it up to my ignorance. Either way, thank you much. Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkAnd he had 100% feedback and power seller. Go figure. dbane883
No worries. If you want a gen 16660 dial, I have one. A bit weathered, but gen nonetheless.

lionsandtigers
one more thing, look at the 12 and 6 o'clock markers. Alignment is completely off. If the seller wont refund, I hope you used paypal cause this is clearly a fake and if advertised as gen pp will give you your money back no doubt. good luck
