8614
Bought this watch recently. Here are the QC Pics. I leave it to the more experienced members of the forum to criticize as need be. I thank you for the help.

8614
Thanks. The dial looks like it has something "different". Still don't know what it is tho!
Change
Beat error is a bit high, imo, but acceptable. If your happy with the looks (I'm not very familiar with Cartier, so I have no opinion here) I'd accept it.

I believe it can be corrected with proper servicing, or not?

I would think a proper servicing could help improve the beat error.

Jkay
Thanks for the information. Any opinions about the appearance of the watch? Beat error is easily adjusted ~ the only comment I have is that on a watch of this level, you will probably want to replace the leather strap. It will feel like vinyl and paper on your wrist. It is the biggest tell for this piece (to a layman, not some ultra-anal forum geek) Invest in a $50-100 gator/croc strap for this and WOW .. it will be a real home run. ps - nice watch
Jkay
I have bought from these people before (as have other Forum members) and they are great http://www.ethan-o.com/ They used-to be named Inspire Workshop They even have a ready-made strap for this watch .. no buckle holes
Nightwatch
It´s a whitegold Cartier and it says so on the X marker. In SS this will be lighter than the gen. Gen-name would help to compare it (how thick is the gen?), otherwise everything seems ok what regards the rep. New strap is a must imho also. Like the round shape and the looks of the caseback. 8614
I am considering ordering a strap. Could somebody talk me thru the process (in brief). PM me if you do not want to divulge public details. Could somebody help identify the modile? I picked it because of looks, looks like the rotonde, but can't find an identical looking one on the cartier site. I picked it because of looks, looks like the rotonde, but can't find an identical looking one on the cartier site. Look at this web page .. note that this model of Cartier has a no-holes strap, and requires a special order from whomever you buy .... note that the strap is a fixed length for a certain amount, then widens ... this is so the special Cartier clasp can adjust. As for ordering a strap .. thats no secret .. just find one you like, in the proper size for your watch and buy it. You'll need to know the width and the length and then any special needs (like for your Cartier's clasp) http://www.ethan-o.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=productdetails&virtuemart_product_id=509&virtuemart_category_id=45&Itemid=
