Where to buy 6536/1 5508 bezel spring

I need a bezel spring for a 6536/1 5508 - any suggestions?

The octagonal bent wire piece? Try Natalie at NDT Trading, or Phong or Minh Quy has them. Classic Watch Parts should too. The CWP wire is a little thicker than the others.

If all else fails some stiff wire of the right gauge might work, just nip off a length and bend it into an octagon with ends that don't quite meet when it's tucked into the groove.

Thanks - I was considering making my own if I could not source one stateside so I suppose I could do the math

 

Any thoughts on why the thicker CWP one would be the preferred option?

The CWP bezel is thicker than the other offerings so it has a wider groove, that's all.
