HaydenM
Hi all, As a bit of a newb to a lot of this stuff I have been wanting to take the caseback off of my new black bay. I have looked around the forum but have found it difficult to find anything a bit more in depth on the matter. Thank you all in advance. mcotter
Hayden, in the absence of either a set of case wrenches or a rubber sticky ball you can use the famous "Duck tape method". take about a 30" piece of typical duck tape & wind it into a ball sticky side out. You'll end up w/ a wad bigger than than a golf ball, much smaller than a hard ball.Case threads are standard issue: right to tighten & left to loosen. Press your new ball hard against the case back & turn firmly, you'll be surprised as the ball w/ turn along w/ the case back....Good luck,it'll work just as described! best, mcotter
HaydenM
Thanks very much mate, I've heard of the duck tape method before but it just alluded me exactly how it would be done.
