Weekend Watch Shootout

Thanks guys!!! Just havin' fun with my new light setup.

Great photos, but the Pepsi one is too adjusted in terms of balance. Too grainy and "orangish". :p

Yeah, I'm aware of that. That was the effect I was looking for... exaggerated colors for that shot. These are often taste things.

Like this more (less saturation and contrast)?

Or perhaps somewhere in the middle?

Or maybe this?

Oops...something went wrong there.

By-Tor, what s/w do you use for pic manipulation? And what/how do you use it?

I use Photoshop for everything. I have used it for years (also professionally, when I did editorial work for a magazine). With pictures I usually just play with the hue/saturation and brightness/contrast settings. For people who have problem with their white balance: merely clicking the "Auto Levels" makes wonders.

But when you get the lighting correct... and can eliminate noise and reflections from the pics (I often use reflector cards) there's not really much need for any dramatic changes. Most people could shoot great pics if they just had a good setup. Actually, you don't even need a lightbox. Shooting in pure daylight can give excellent results too.

@Ubi: Thanks mate. Your pics have become excellent too.
