cc33
Hi guys, do any of you know what I can do with a vacheron k1072/1 movement? It's in a few pieces but I have all the parts. Is this something I can use? I know it's from the late 50's early 60's but I'm not sure if it has any practical application today, I don't like dress watches, anyone know if any early sports model used this? droptopman
No clue but the detail on those parts. Wow total artwork.
watchguy51
I'm also more into sports watches. The Vacheron 6782, one of my favourite references, used this movement. I think it'd be nearly impossible to get parts though. However, there are plenty of Vacheron dials on eBay... I'd just build a completely custom piece with this movement and a VC dial. cc33
Thanks, I looked it up and it's very cool, like the rolex turn o graph's. I was hoping it was for a 222 jumbo, but it's not It came with a dial, champagne that matches that model you referenced.. I grabbed it from my local watchmaker thinking I could make something old and sporty and automatic! He loaned it to me to do the research, I'll give it back since it's not something I can use
