Need help with gen and rep GMT II

Boy do I feel stupid having to ask this question......

I have both a gen and rep GMT II Pepsi.  They are identical in style.

Okay......here goes......please don't make me feel bad asking......I cannot tell the two apart.  The rep is just that close.  I mean this....I cannot tell which is which.

Can someone please give me a few pointers to look for so I can tell which is the gen?  I am being sincere here as silly as it sounds!

Embarrassingly, I say "thanks" to anyone who helps me.

First off, look at the hand stack. They should be different, unless you have one of the few GMT reps with the correct hand stack movement. Another tell is setting the GMT hand. On the rep, crown in 2nd position turned one way sets the date, rotate in the opposite direction the GMT HAND "jumps" forward. On the genuine, the crown moves the hour hand, not the GMT hand. Also the date is " quickset" on the rep, quickset was sacrificed on the GMT II.Genuine .

AFA telling them apart physically, the fit and finish of the genuine is better, lettering on the dial is crisper. Another factor is they use different steel. I find the gen steel is a "whiter" color, especially if you have them both in bright sunlight.

Outstanding...this is the info I need.

The hand stacks are different.  Can you please tell me what order they should be on the gen and rep?

The only way to change the date on one of them is by spinning the arms and minute hand like old Timex watches.  It takes a l oot of winding on one of them so I assume this is the gen?

The bracelets do feel a bit different.  On one of them, the link closest to the watch head on both sides has an engraved number:  78790A.  The other watch has no numbers engraved on the links closest to the watch head.
