projectologist
I've waited a long time before deciding to finally buy one of these straps... they don't come up FS very often. 27mm is the width OP used most often for their 6152/1's and most instruments worn when diving. ogladio
Magnificent strap. Am looking for a 27mm strap for my Welded lug project. Could you clarify, is this vintage Kostas 6152 - or... Something else?
projectologist
Yes it's from Kostas, his 1:1 grail strap. He can't make anymore at the moment until he finds another hide of the same leather. Some of the PAM vintage watches on a exhibit at Harrods this month are mounted on these straps. A real honor for Kostas.

panermaniac
now I see that one was a 26/26 - but gorgeous, too! http://www.network54.com/Forum/353393/thread/1410560197/last-1410560197/FS-+Kostas+vintage+Grail+strap+26-26+150-90+---+price+drop
projectologist
I found my strap on Kostas' Facebook page. All of the current available straps FS are pictured there. They go fast, so check his page often.
projectologist
+2 It's going on a 6152/1 build I sold and am getting back. It has a gen T25 plexi (not the service version) and the kbiz/merlin699 dial. Still one of the best dials ever made.
ogladio
Rare bird indeed with that dial! How does one separate service from non-service t25? Am looking at one in one of those sealed plastic bags with red text for like $400...
projectologist
Rare bird indeed with that dial! How does one separate service from non-service t25? Am looking at one in one of those sealed plastic bags with red text for like $400... In the individual red bags is the service version. Not quite as thick as the original and the edge distortion is a little different as well as the side-view profile... subtle differences. The originals came in tubes of a dozen or more with each one wrapped individually with tissue. I found the DSN plexi to be closest to the original. I'll post comparison pics of DSN next to gen when I get home. The currnt crop of molded plexi still magnify to some degree and have a little too much edge distortion. The DSN is better than all of them. Edited September 16, 2014 by projectologist
