Pam 372 noob vs ultimate cannon pinion question

From Rolexman’s excellent take down it is clear that in the ultimate version one never sees the true cannon pinion but rather just a cap that is part of the min hand. Believe it or not that is what bothers me about the ultimate rep. I like the

movement but any visual issues with the cannon pinion drives me crazy. On my gen 112 the min hand was sitting just a little too high and I was tempted to fix it over and over…anyway, my question (finally) is if the noob version uses special hands or

just the typical higher pinion?

let me put it this way...does anyone know which version of the 372, H or Noob uses an actually longer cannon pinion to make up for the thick dial?

the noob and h versions are fitted with higher (H3) cannon pinions that make it so that regular hands can clear the dial.

The question is: what problem are you looking to fix? Aesthetically the CP looks perfect and very close to gen. imo better than the Noob.

Thanks..I ended up getting the noob version but it isn't here yet..I was just worried the ultimate cp would be somehow detectable..sounds silly but even if it was visually perfect probably would still bother me that it was the hands that were mods..would just remind me too much of the old reps.

I would hang myself knowing the movement has decorative plates glued on. Like a pig in a dress. Guess everyone has his own demons ....

just got it this morning...Yes,,,it's something that would bug a movement person. But also gives me a chance to replace with another movement...will be fantasy but some fantasies are better than others.
