atk147
Hi All, I am looking for some carbon parts for my AP ROO Grand Prix. I am new to the site and registered in order to source these. I would appreciate if someone can point me to the right direction.
atk147
Just trying to bring this post back up to see if anyone has any leads on this. AP have quoted €800 for the replacement, and its an 8-week process. Would appreciate any "after market" options to do it cheaper but mostly avoid the wait... AstroAvia
You need those parts for a gen watch?!?! Why else would you ask an AD for a quote? But now that you did, you got me curious: would the AD sell spare forged carbon parts to you without asking to have your watch shown to them? That would be VERY good news if we could source the FC parts from AP!
AstroAvia
Answering your question, as far as I know, there are no more FC parts available anywhere. However, rumour has it that the J12 factory will eventually release a re-run of the FC GP watch. Only the chinese gods know when, though.
atk147
Its for an original watch. The dealers obviously want the watch in, to avoid exactly what you have in mind...They always ask for the watch to provide an estimate of the work, which needs to be authorised by the owner before they move forward. Other annoying fact is that they cannot do a change without a service, which costs another €800.

The upsell is normal, Breitling and Omega also do this in the UK, a re-case and service soon becomes new hands and a crown with Omega.
