omegex
Well it's about time I posted an introduction having been around the forum for quite a while.I am, predominately, a collector of pocket watches but also have a collection of some "lower" priced wrist watchesmy pride and joy being a Bulova Accutron 218 tuning fork watch made in 1976 - just love the hum that watch makes.Because I am on a somewhat reduced income compared to when I was working full time, I know full well that I will never beable to afford a gen Rollie or Omega. So needless to say I have come to the "darkside" of things.I am absolutely amazed at the quality of what is now being produced, the detail is now getting to be second to none. The only problem there is that the prices are going up BUT, if you want quality then you pay the price.I have done a lot of reading on here and have no intention of making the typical "noobs" mistakes that I have seen.If I do, then flame away!!!! I will only have myself to blame for it.What I will be looking for will be a Rollie and an Omega that I like the look of but will not discount IWC, TAG and Breitling. The brands I won't be looking for are AP,Panerai and Hublot - they really do not do it for me. But then each to their own taste on that one.As regards my username, that doesn't take a lot of working out does it? Just shows my preferences!!!Regards peopleLook forward to speaking to you on the forum. Edited October 26, 2014 by omegex
