astonjenks
Ordered this a couple of days ago and will post my thoughts however looks really great. This is the IWC Topgun Pilot's watch made in ceramic and a proper mans size of 48mm (similar to 47 Pams which are a favourite of mine) Will keep you posted when she arrives. astonjenks
I tried the 44's A and although nice, the actual crystal diameter is still quite small I fear. Regards AJ

astonjenks
I did try a T3 sometime ago and would still suggest that the crystals on a Fiddy and this IWC ceramic must be 40/42mm plus which makes it look a great sized watch as well as being one. The challenge with lots of mid size watches (Rolex, Omega, AP etc. etc.) is that the size of the case is 'ok' however due to the style/size of the bezel the actual face of the watch is quite small. Perversley I have a 44mm Panzera coming which as a size of watch is as small as I like to go, however it is literally all crystal/face so the diameter of the crystal/ dial is 40mm which I hope makes it feel ok! astonjenks
The Big Pilot Ceramic arrived today and is a real beauty of a watch. The usual PR hand issue doesn't bother me and I might move it, I might not! Finish of the case is really clean/good as is the dial, the hands and the crystal. The strap is a tad stiff, however I expect to swap this out for an OEM I have coming. The crown has 3-4 full revolutions to screw down and as we know is a weak point on these BP's (gen as well as Reps) it feels secure and tight, I always counterwind to 'feel' the thread before tightening down. She has kept time perfectly for the last 6 hours and although large at 48mm, feels no different to my usual 47 PAMs. For the smaller wrist guys you might find this a little uncomfortable (mine are 8 1/4) All in all a really great watch that is very different to any other Big Pilot that is very good value for money.
